On 28th May 2019 the IOSH Theatre group held a free site visit at the Royal Opera House for its members, led by the Group chair Dominique Perrissin-Fabert Perrissin-FabertPerrissin-Fabert and her team.
The tour included visiting the backstage areas of the Grade I listed building which is home to The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.
The Health and safety team lead the tour to the stage areas, flying system and workshops plus much more. Giving an insight into the unique set of challenges the team face in an ever-changing environment.
Whist visiting the auditorium the group witnessed first-hand the complexity involved in changing the sets for each performance, this change happens daily.
The Site Visit was very well received and we had positive feedback on the day, keep an eye out for any future events!
