Yorkshire Letter from the Chair

Having been a member of IOSH for several years and wanting to help improve workplace safety, I became involved with the Yorkshire Branch Committee as a member, Branch Secretary and for the last two years Vice chair. In this time I have enjoyed assisting with planning events and meetings.

My aim is to build on the good work of previous branch chairs, Lee Patterson, Ewhen Hasioszyn, (Ian), Doug Cartwright and Michelle Muxworthy.

The Yorkshire Branch aims to deliver a wide-ranging programme of meetings to provide our members with the best opportunities for continuous professional development and networking with likeminded professionals. Our branch meetings have grown in success over the past few years with strong attendance of regulars and lots of new comers.

Non-members are welcome to attend meetings, so if you know someone who might be interested, please do encourage them to come along. I would always encourage you to introduce yourself to a member of the Committee when you first come along so we can help you settle in and answer any queries you may have.

I hope you enjoy our programme and I look forward to seeing you at future meetings.
