South Coast Branch

About us

Welcome to the South Coast Branch!

Meetings run monthly from September though to April, where members can meet and network over refreshments in an informal friendly atmosphere. Whilst our meetings are primarily for IOSH members they are also open to visitors, anyone with an interest in health and safety.

Topics and presentations are driven by request from members' current issues and access to notable presenters. These provide those attending with opportunities to develop or fine tune their health and safety knowledge and skills and to influence our program.

Don't forget to follow us on social media for branch event and news updates.

Strategy

The South Coast Branch aims to support IOSH in promoting best practice and continual improvement in occupational safety and health, and to encourage sensible safety and health management and promote the ethos that good health and safety is good for business.

Objectives

  • To manage the branch in accordance with the IOSH Corporate Manual and maintain the good name of IOSH;
  • To promote Continuing Professional Development for occupational safety and health professionals;
  • To provide opportunities for members to network and share relevant experiences while encouraging them to advocate sensible risk management, continual improvement and best practice.

The branch committee will provide guidance and support to all grades of membership to achieve Chartered status. Our Branch Education and Development Adviser (BEDA) runs a mentoring programme that can be tailored to suit your particular needs.
